A spicy but refreshing syrup that works as a perfect flavoring in both cocktails and mocktails.
5 steps1 pcs
Ingredients
1 pcs cucumber
1 pcs jalapeño
2 dl sugar
Instructions
Cut the cucumber into smaller pieces and mix it in a blender.
Place a towel in a sieve and then strain the mix. You can (once most of the liquid has been strained through and you have the pulp left) "close" the towel and squeeze out more liquid - there is more liquid than you think.
Measure the cucumber juice into a saucepan and then add an equal amount of sugar (for one cucumber, this will be about 2 dl of sugar). Slice the jalapeño and add to the saucepan, keeping the seeds for extra heat.
Heat until all the sugar has dissolved.
Let cool and strain the jalapeño. At this point the syrup is ready to use!
